    Heater Installation in Pasadena

Cold Cloud installs furnaces, heat pumps, and ductless heating systems for homes throughout Pasadena, sizing every system to your home’s actual heating needs rather than swapping in a generic unit. Most heaters last around 20 years before efficiency drops and repair costs start climbing.

Signs it may be time for a new heater:

    • Uneven heating or cold spots
    • Energy bills creeping up with no clear cause
    • Frequent cycling, unusual noises, or repeat repairs
High-efficiency gas furnace installed in a basement utility room

Pasadena homeowners choose Cold Cloud for heater installation because we size every system to the home, not the other way around. Our licensed technicians assess your space before recommending equipment, so you’re not paying for more capacity than you need or living with a unit that can’t keep up. You get a clear, upfront price and an installation backed by a written warranty.

Not Sure If You Need a Repair Instead?
If your current heater is still running, a repair might make more sense than a full install. See our Heater Repair page to find out.

    Heat Pump Option
Want heating and cooling from one energy-efficient system? Explore Heat Pump Installation as an alternative to a traditional heater.

    Furnace Installation
Prefer a traditional gas furnace? We size and install furnaces built for your home’s square footage and layout.

    Ductless Heating
No existing ductwork? Ductless systems provide targeted heating for additions and rooms without ducts.

      what we provide

Energy Efficiency Improvements & Available Rebates

Guessing at equipment size means paying for capacity you don’t need, or living with a heater that can’t keep your home warm. Cold Cloud calculates your home’s actual heating load before recommending any system, so what we install matches your home instead of a generic size chart.

A heater installation isn’t just swapping one unit for another. Our technicians check your ductwork and electrical connections as part of every install, catching issues that could affect performance or safety before they become a problem after we’ve left.

Wow, great service! My furnace stopped working, so I called to schedule a service appointment. They were able to explain over the phone what I needed to check, and now it's working again! Thank you!

Cold Cloud Mechanical replaced my old furnace with a Daikin 17.5 SEER2 heat pump. This is hands down, the dream HVAC contractor I have ever found and worked with. Thanks to Daikin's Comfort Pro contractors list where I found Cold Cloud Mechanical! It started with Alex who came out on a Saturday late afternoon for an estimate. With Alex's engineering background, the Heat pump system was designed perfectly from the get-go. The complete transparency in pricing, scope of work, time frame and contract/warranty terms are so compelling that I signed the contract right away. This was followed by Peter's pre-installation visit (unheard of from all my previous HVAC installation experiences). Peter's brilliant idea of using an adjustable metal stand allows full compliance with local codes without additional cost of a new concrete slab. The installation team with clear instructions from Peter was simply amazing! They paid so much attention to details and really took their time to make sure everything was done correctly and professionally.

What to Confirm Before You Sign an Install Contract

      Service DetailWhy It Matters
HERS / duct-leakage test on completionCalifornia requires it on new systems — it's the number that proves the ducts don't leak
Manual D duct sizing, not just Manual J on the boxThe right-size unit on the wrong ducts still leaves hot and cold rooms
Low-GWP refrigerant — R-32 or R-454BNew units are moving off R-410A; ask what yours ships with
Electrical panel capacity checked before an all-electric swapA heat-pump changeover can need a panel upgrade nobody quoted for
Refrigerant line set — reused or replaced?Old lines often can't carry a new refrigerant type; reusing them can risk the warranty
